It was tough on all of us. Nobody on the team had experienced anything like it before in our lives. All he talked about was defense and how it was going to win games. You heard it before, but nobody really believed it. As time went on, we bought into it.
You felt like you should have had a win. And then you let it slip away.
That's the second time today someone's done that.
I wasn't fouled. It was incidental contact. I wouldn't expect the referee to make that call in the NCAA Tournament second round with a chance to go to the Sweet 16. I wouldn't expect them to make that call to bail us out.
He's a great player. He's just a phenomenal talent.
I don't know one word to describe this. The reaction said it all. This is great, but I'm just speechless.
When they trapped the ball, my teammates were able to get the ball to me going to the basket, and I was able to finish plays.
The play was for me to get the ball, but they did a good job of denying it. Joseph got to the basket, but couldn't make the play.
We think we did enough. But it's up to the committee.
It's unbelievable. My freshman year, I would never have imagined us being where we are today.
It's frustrating. We know these are ballgames we should win. We have to try and be a little bit smarter. We have to be smarter in the game down the stretch.
It's frustrating, definitely. We know we can play better. All three of our losses in the conference, we had a chance at the end to win. We just have to play a little smarter.
I tried to get it back but OU did a good job of denying me the ball. So the second option was for Joe to try to go down and make a play and he didn't make it.
We are just playing together and we expect to put ourselves in situations to win at the end of the game. We have confidence that we can beat anybody down the stretch.
