Everybody has been in this locker room today, and it's only 1:30. Man, you would not have gotten that when I first got here.

Everything happened like it was supposed to. Safety was there. Ambulances were there. Paramedics were there, but there's always room for improvement.

Most of the guys here play college hockey and we get it every time from the student sections so it's something that should be expected. I definitely thought it was anti-American, but at the same time a lot of guys in the locker room thrived on that. Almost every Canadian I've met is a great person. That's just hockey. They didn't like the other team.

We thought we got our defense under us in the first half and kind of set the tone for the rest of the game. We had a little lull defensively in the third quarter, but they're a very good offensive basketball team and they weren't going to come out of the locker room lying down.

I don't think anybody in this locker room expected to be one game under .500 at this point. I don't think anybody expected to be one game under any time this season. We can talk about it, but now it's time to just show up and play ball.

I got out of town Sunday when the mayor told us to. We tried to get hotel rooms in Lafayette, Lake Charles and even went to Houston. There was nothing. So we've been here for two nights.

We just do extra patrol of the buildings. We do not go into any of the rooms unless there is a specific problem or a special request.

We kind of made our team identity and we know what we have to do to be successful. Getting off to a good start is definitely a key. We struggled with that earlier in the year. We've been treating the first period like it's our last; that's what we have been saying in the locker room before the game.

We've prided ourselves in that defense now for five games. We've got a lot of pride in that defense. We feel like we're playing real good defensive football and we have some room to get better.

We're really young, so there's a lot of room for growth. If these girls stay together, and work together during the off-season they will grow as a team.
