Everybody has been in this locker room today, and it's only 1:30. Man, you would not have gotten that when I first got here.

We feel very good about our chances of making the playoffs. I really don't think that's a concern in this locker room. It is a concern that we are playing well going into the playoffs. We don't want to stagger in and barely make it.

You always worry about something like that. You have to feel fortunate everyday that you can walk into a locker room and be a part of a good organization. I'm not saying it's keeping me up at night but it's always in the back of your head.

Most of the guys here play college hockey and we get it every time from the student sections so it's something that should be expected. I definitely thought it was anti-American, but at the same time a lot of guys in the locker room thrived on that. Almost every Canadian I've met is a great person. That's just hockey. They didn't like the other team.

We thought we got our defense under us in the first half and kind of set the tone for the rest of the game. We had a little lull defensively in the third quarter, but they're a very good offensive basketball team and they weren't going to come out of the locker room lying down.

I don't think anybody in this locker room expected to be one game under .500 at this point. I don't think anybody expected to be one game under any time this season. We can talk about it, but now it's time to just show up and play ball.

We kind of made our team identity and we know what we have to do to be successful. Getting off to a good start is definitely a key. We struggled with that earlier in the year. We've been treating the first period like it's our last; that's what we have been saying in the locker room before the game.

There were a lot of people putting us in the grave and throwing dirt on us. When I came (into the locker room) and saw all smiles, it was just like it was before Christmas.

As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.

If the commissioner changed the schedule and you had to play three or four games in a row, championship teams still find a way to win. So we don't use tired as an excuse. We didn't deserve to win. We weren't very efficient offensively. And give their defense credit. They did a good job of limiting Dirk and Josh's looks late in the game. They have a lot of pride in their locker room.

If I'm such a problem, why do these people continue to invest dollars if he's a problem? I wouldn't. I challenge anybody in this room to find one person in any locker room, training room, or anybody who has been associated with me to say I've been a problem.

How he's handled his first Spring Training is amazing. He's a first-class guy, this is his first Spring Training and he's in the big-league locker room. He's a great guy to be around. I'm glad he's got the locker next to me. We talk a lot about the game and getting better.
