In years past, the offensive line hasn't been big here, but they've been extremely effective in the red zone. So you can't say that's the reason. They weren't big before and they were kicking butt.

I've resigned myself. Everybody has had to resign themselves. We've been told it's not going to change. A lot of people are upset at the limited number of tickets, a good number of people. They changed something that was a traditional thing. Our perspective is that it's always been at the Coliseum. If they make such a dramatic change, the decision should involve the students. The bottom line is, it's our ceremony.

Sometimes, in our thinking about higher education, we're too narrowly confined to a utilitarian calculus about what it's doing to the bottom line of UK plc. I wanted to stick up for medieval history, among other things, which was deprecated by Charles Clarke.

I was happy with the play of the team, especially with our defensive play. To give up five goals in four games is a real accomplishment for this team. We have been able to play all four lines most of the time, and I think that has really helped us in the third period wearing teams down.

I was fading so I don't really have any complaints with the way that he raced me. I passed him two or three times earlier in the day and found another line and worked my way around the outside of him. I was a little surprised that he continually drove it in and kept trying to blast me in the center. I think he probably hit me for four or five laps and the time that he got by me, he really had my wheels off the ground and I couldn't get in the gas and he got inside of me and from there drove on and drove away from me. This is short track racing.

You just want to give them a little bit of air to make sure they're going to stay up there. It's kinda scary. I don't know how much control those things have. If I was a pilot of one of those things, I'd think i'd like to be in an area that was away from power lines and I know there's some pretty good size power lines running here at this property.

Those guys can get caught out of position if the offensive line and we all do our job the way we're supposed to do our job. There's a lot of things we can open offensively to pressure them to make them make mistakes,

I think like any rookie he is still learning. I think (defensive line coach Tom Brasher) is doing a good job with him. It's going to take a little while. He's probably a better run player than a pass rusher right now. But he does give great penetration and great effort. It will come, but it's not there right now.
