All the games we played prior to region play really helped us out. Our kids are really understanding what we have to do. They know each other and what we can do on the floor.

The road wasn't too friendly to us the last time. I'm already getting a bad memory. Hopefully, we'll have a better response on the road overall than the last game and give ourselves a chance to win by playing our system. But we've gone back to some basics that seem to have helped us.

I was happy with the play of the team, especially with our defensive play. To give up five goals in four games is a real accomplishment for this team. We have been able to play all four lines most of the time, and I think that has really helped us in the third period wearing teams down.

Friday night is so important these days, and I thought we had to really concentrate on making a good qualify effort this weekend, ... After being No. 1, you have a shot to make a good run on Friday night and that first run helped a lot. It's so important to make a good pass on the first run to put yourself near the back of the order for the night run.

I got more comfortable the longer the game went on. My teammates really helped by encouraging me.
